Default Pilotless Electric Motor Glider Generates Clean Power

Google funded Bay area startup, Makani Power, is developing a tethered
glider that will produce twice the power of conventional wind turbines
at a fraction of the cost. They expect the cost to be about 3 cents
a kilowatt hour, cheaper than most coal-fired generation. Clearly,
one of the biggest challenges facing the planet is moving from fossil
fuels to clean energy. But who would have thought gliders could help
us do that? See video for more details.
