British Gliding Team
7 hrs ·
The British Gliding Team are looking to recruit a Media Manager to join the Team flying at the European Gliding Championships at Lasham in August.
The role is a new one and is aimed at promoting the Team and all that happens around them at the championships to the wider sport of British Gliding, the general public and beyond with the ultimate aim being to raise the profile of the sport and help gain sponsorship in the future to support the British Team.
The Team will be promoted on all types of social media as well as the official Team website so some technical expertise in these areas would be a huge advantage as well of course having a great sense of humour and being passionate about gliding!
There will be some training given to the successful candidate in what is required in the form of a briefing document and informal chats and of course all log-in details will be given to them but ultimately we are looking for someone to present the team in their own way, to let their personality and enthusiasm shine and promote the Team in a fun, informative and professional manner.
There will be a generous expenses package paid to the successful candidate who needs to be on site at Lasham ideally for the practice week and the whole competition itself. The approximate dates are 5th- 26th August 2017.
Please contact Graham Garnett, British Team Manager in the first instance for more details on 07775 751900 or

We'd love your feedback on the recent British Team media coverage!
It will only take a few minutes and will help to improve coverage for future competitions:
