Default Tubes in tail of Jantar 41s Standard

I have recently acquired a Jantar 41a. I was inspecting the rudder
assembly and found two 3/8 inch tygon tubes with what looked link
copper plug assemblies on the ends. I should have taken a picture.
Does anyone know what these are for. They are attached to the vertical
stab just forward of the lower rudder hinge point.

They are water traps for the Pitot and TE lines.

Thanks,

I was wondering about these things. That makes perfect sense now.

Look behind your panel. You probably have a couple of brass water
traps there too.
