Who finances used gliders these days? (USA)
I know about Lea County bank, but their rates seem a bit high in this economy,
any other leads would be appreciated.... - Mark Navarre 2/5 black ace LoCal, USA - |

Mark,
Check with your local banks and or credit unions. They are considered "recreational" loans. Usually the rates are at a premium. It might be better to arrange alternate type loans from the bank. A personal loan is probably at a better rate. Some places offer a good rate on loans that are backed up by something like your securities... I just went through this with some friends and most anything we found beat the aircraft loan rates. Douglas |

Home equity loans are the best -- low rates, long terms, and tax
deductible interest DGRTEK wrote: Mark, Check with your local banks and or credit unions. They are considered "recreational" loans. Usually the rates are at a premium. Use your 401k money and pay yourself the interest.

Went to the credit union here. 5% intrest on aircraft loan, little or no
hastle, and 11 year term. Not bad for an Air Force E-5 who just bought a toy that is worth nearly double his yearly income. -Mitch |
