Did you look into the conference beyond the NAME?

I don't know if he did but I did and here's the Mission Statement.

used as the basis for a "conference". Conferences should be (at
least in a perfect world) open forums; you can't have an open forum
when you've already presumed that white people (whatever THAT is/THEY
are) are "privileged" (read: "evil") in some way that harms other
people...
