Well, it's not the same as "up-close", but I have several close up pix, both
static and in flight as well as a couple of small video clips. I can e-mail them to you if you would like. Let me know what your screen res is and I'll send them along. mike regish "Dave" wrote in message news:jrNXc.193129$8_6.22574@attbi_s04... Wish I could be there. When I was a child I had an opportunity to ride from Dallas to D.C. in a Connie. That was nearly 50 years and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I would love to see one "up close" again! news:4mGXc.54536$9d6.37910@attbi_s54... Our annual Fly-In breakfast is THIS Sunday, 8/29, from 7 AM till at least 1 PM (Sometimes longer, depending on demand), here in Iowa City. (KIOW -- See airport info at: www.airnav.com/cgi-bin/airport-get?s=IOW ) Hey Jay, How was the turnout at IOW? I was set to go to a local fly-in this morning at Windom, but my plane failed pre-flight check. |

How was the turnout at IOW? I was set to go to a local fly-in this morning
It was terrific! After an all-day rain on Saturday, Sunday dawned crystal clear and cool -- perfect for a fly-in breakfast. It was IFR to the east most of the morning, so that limited fly-ins from that direction -- but we still had dozens of planes arriving and departing. The towns-folk turned out in droves, as they always do. We gave away hundreds of balloons, pounds of candy, and did a drawing for a free night in the Pan Am Clipper honeymoon suite. Best of all, the four of us got a ride in the MATS Connie -- with Mary and me being allowed some right seat time! I got to do a 180 degree turn in that big, beautiful bird -- what a rush! I'll be posting the pix and movies later today, with any luck... -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

Wow, what's the occasion? 21st anniversary of the Beagle Pup and Bulldog Club. In the end we took out the 100hp Pups, they weren't powerful enough, so there were 18. I was Black 3, right down the back! Paul |

Well, the official photos are being posted to us on CD this weekend. I have some I'll try and get posted up somewhere but I don't have any cropping software on my work PC so will have to probably do it at home. Paul |
