Apache helicopter brought down in Iraq

BAGHDAD (CNN) -- -- An Apache helicopter was brought down by ground
fire west of Baghdad Sunday, a senior military source told CNN.

A rapid reaction force was immediately deployed after the incident,
which happened around 11 a.m. (3 a.m. ET). There was no immediate word
on casualties.

The AH-64 helicopter was with the 1st Cavalry. Apaches usually carry a
two-person crew.
