The ball in the flowmeter is only used to indicate the flow rate. The rate itself is controlled by the needle valve. This means you only need to hold the flowmeter vertically while you adjust the valve. After that it's fine to let it dangle in any orientation. You just need to hold it back up vertically to check occasionally that the flow rate hasn't changed. Rod |
