open trailers
Recently, I have been digging through ads offering used gliders, and I
have noticed that older metal sailplanes such as the Schweizer 1-3X series often come with only an open trailer. Now that's fine for transport, but what about storage? Can a metal glider be left disassembled on an open trailer under the sky? Johan Larson |

open trailers
Every metal glider I've seen that has been left out on a trailer has been
filled with critter nests and surprising amounts of water. I know of a 2-33 that had so much rain water in the wings that they couldn't be lifted off the trailer. Stuff like that does terrible things to metal. Bill Daniels wrote in message ups.com...
