Default SW developers: FLARM protocol version 6 reminder

I've emailed the folks developing products that display
traffic from FLARM, for those I know, but for those
I do not know, a quick reminder...

Hi Guys, probably you know this already, but just in case...
PowerFLARM defaults to the older FLARM protocol which does not
include PCAS (transponder) functions. To get all the new info,
it is necessary to request protocol version 6 **EACH TIME**
PowerFLARM is turned on. This is done for backwards-compatibility
with lots of old display devices. For example, all new Butterfly
display devices as packaged with PowerFLARM brick do this.
Note: protocol version is independently selected for the two
serial ports on brick.

Details in the dataport/protocol manual he
http://www.flarm.com/support/manual/...ual_v6.00E.pdf

Hope this is helpful,
Best Regards, Dave
