Jeff Byard's BA-100
The "after-market" spoilers and wicker seat identify this more
specifically as a model of Jeff Byard's 2005 IVSM Grand Champion
Winner.

On-Line Article:
Extended history narrative article, along with many photos of Jeff's
Baby Albatross on the flightline at Mountain Valley Airport L94 in
Tehachapi California are on the Fiddler's Green Site at
http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/AC/airc...oss/bowlus.php

Excerp from the model site:
"11/24/06 Gliders Collection
Bowlus Baby Albatross
William Hawley Bowlus designed the Baby Albatross and quickly succeeded
in making soaring more accessible with it. In 1938 he begain selling
kits that included all the essential parts needed to build the
aircraft. Our large version of the beautiful Baby Albatross has a span
of about 35 inches and comes in white ('way cool) as well as the colors
shown (right). There's a smaller version included in the folder. Easy
to build."

All of Fiddlers Green's 300+ models can be downloaded and printed out
on 8.5 x 11
card stock (aka coverstock) available from any Office Max/Office Depot
etc. store. Download the pdf file, print, cut out with scissors, glue
together in
about an evening - maybe two.
