Default The Brewster Buffalo, back from the grave :)

If you've been following this newsgroup for long enough, you may
remember the saga of BW-372, the Brester Buffalo type that was
recovered from a Russian lake six years ago. Spirited out of Russia in
rather mysterious fashion, it has been hiding out in a hangar at
Dublin airport ever since, while the salvor tried to sell it to the
Naval Air Museum at Pensacola. Well, the long wait is over, and BW-372
arrived in crates at Pensacola this week.

(I should have said "sell" -- the deal was to swap it for three P-3
Orions.)

all the best -- Dan Ford

Good news. I gather that the initial response from the Museum is that the
aircraft will be preserved "as is". Since she is cut into at least two pieces
and it seems the engine and other parts never left Karelia I hope they do a
little more than that. It should be kept in Finnish markings since that is
what she wore longest and saw combat in.
