Default Historical Wind Data for LKV?

I'm looking for historical data about surface wind strength and
direction for Lake County Airport, (LKV). Anybody know how to find
this kind of info?

Sure, but it will cost you $40. Someone has to do a lot of work to put
all the pieces together.
Try this link for 2005 to now:

Weather Underground www.wunderground.com has an archive going way back.
Use the History & Almanac section of their web page. You can get data for a
particular day or all kinds of summaries.

Hi Gary,

If they've got an ASOS and you have MatLab there's public domain
software to extract and collate the data
http://www.itl.nist.gov/div898/winds...wx/asos-wx.htm

Otherwise, Weather Underground may be your best bet.

You don't have to pay, and you don't have to get software. Where do
you think Wundeground gets it's data? Mostly from the Gov't. Check
NWS, RAWS, for weather reporting stations nearby

Here is the data for Summit:
