Default FS2000, Widefs, RogerWilco

Just a bit of a follow up. The problem doesn't appear to be with
WideClient, but with Squawkbox 2.3b4 or 2.2.1.
Roger Wilco works OK with Wideclient alone, but the problem arises
when Squawkbox is running.
Another thing I noticed is that after Squawkbox is shutdown, it
remains in the process list, and causes problems with Roger Wilco
until it is removed via Ctl-Alt-Del.

Hi all,
I'm new to this newsgroup, and I'm not sure whether the following is a
common problem or not, but I hope someone can help.

I'm running FS2k on one computer under Win98, along with FSuipc v2.975
and WideFS v4.5. The machine is a PII 400, 128Mb RAM, 16Mb TNT2 Video
Card and 40Gb HDD.

On an HP 5700CT laptop, 2Gb HDD, 64Mb RAM, I'm running (or trying to)
Wideclient 4.5 and Roger Wilco Mk 1d3 V1.4.1.6.

Now, Roger Wilco runs fine on its own, transmit and receive.

When I fire up Wideclient Roger Wilco will transmit just fine. It will
receive OK, too, up until the first time I press the transmit key.
After that it refuses to receive, until I minimize or maximize it,
depending on which way it is running.

If I shut down Wideclient while Roger Wilco is in the non-receive
state, then RW stays that way until I close it and restart.

The problem is driving me mad, and I've been unable to find any
reference to such a problem anywhere on the net or in any of the docs.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Any replies can be directed here or to "ge at digicomm dot org"
