Default Strict upgrade to the 727?

Are there any airliners currently in production or soon to be in
production which have equal or strictly superior performance
characteristics to the Boeing 727-200 in a similar size range? This
includes maximum acceleration, turning, durability, ability to weather
turbulence, maximum actual flight speed, etc.

Why don't you ask then on one of the many airline groups? Or do the
research and post it here.

And why replace a 727- you looking for special plane?
