Hi Bruce. It is a CF-100 also known as a Canuck. It is a uniquely Canadian
aircraft.

Take care,
Nick

It is a uniquely
Canadian aircraft.

Small correction: the Belgian Air Force also flew the Canuck Mk V, albeit
for only a few years.
54 were bought, 53 delivered: one got fubar prior to delivery.
They were in service from 1957 to 1964, being replaced by the F-104G.

Supposed to be an all weather fighter, the Canuck was operationally
worthless even as a day-fighter, because it had only free flying air-to-air
rockets as armament, not even a gun!

Not a single one escaped the scrappers blowtorch.
The Brussels Air Museum had to get a Canadian one to put on display...

Cheers,

Steven

Hi Steven. What I meant was that it was a uniquely Canadian designed and
built aircraft.

Take care,

Nick
