Default New coinage

I've coined a new acronym that stands for a principle often used in the
experimental helicopter community. I have named it NHFY. It stands for
None Have Failed Yet. It is a reliability measurement used by some that
certainly needs close examination to ascertain the validity. Some folks who
have exhausted all their knowledge, skills and finances to make their
product as good as possible can legitimately use the NHFY measurement
ethically and reasonably. However some use the NHFY as a reliability
statement to help them ignore a responsibility to fix some problem that they
recognize but don't want to do anything about it until they have to. This
means something is going to have to fail before they fix it. Hopefully no
one is hurt or killed when it fails. I'm going to try to distinguish
between the two types of NHFY users in my future dealings.
