Default Time for certificate issuance?

I passed my IA checkride on April 17th, and still haven't received my
newfangled plastic certificate. The FAA airmen database lists the rating,
so I know they're aware of it. The DE gave me a temporary certificate which
expires in less than a month, what should I do assuming it doesn't come
soon? What's the usual turnaround time for such things?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Go to your FSDO near the time the temporary certficate is going to expire and
they should issue another temporary certificate. It is super easy.

As for the time it takes for the certificate to arrive...with me it has always
been about 7 days aftert my original temporary certificate was going to expire.

I passed my commercial on April 12th and got my certificate in the mail last
Wednesday. They typically come pretty close to the expiration date of the
temporary.

if it's in the data base.. I'm betting it will be in your mailbox in less
than a week.. more likely before you read this post.. the turn around this
spring has been running about 90 days

If not, drop in on your local FSDO. They'll write another temporary
certificate for you.

According to the registrar webpage, they are currently processing certificates
with an approximate issue date of April 25th, 2004 .
