CBAV - anyone having problems displaying Nexrad?
The last 2 times (yesterday and 1 week ago) I've tried to used CBAV to get
Nexrad images, I get a blank screeen with the word "display" on it. Anyone have this problem recently? Is there a problem? |

I fly airplanes off and on as a hobby, I use http://www.weathertap.com/ for
Nexrad images and other. I use a cell phone plugged into my WindowsCE pocket PC with a cheap cable (Verizon). I know it's not the palm format, but just thought others might be interested. It's about 75 bucks a year, but it's color and there is a special palm site so all the maps are scaled down for quick loading. Verizon has a free number you call to get the internet connection. It's pretty slow, but you don't need a modem in your pocketPC and the Verizon service is free. No relation to weathertap. ... Aaron "Maule Driver" wrote in message .com... I also am a weathertap subscriber and like it. I use it on the ground though
over the Internet. Aren't there going to be legal issues with using it with a cell phone in the air? "AaronK" wrote in message ... Do you use it in the air? If so, how is reception?
I have very little luck making call on my Sprint PCS phone in the air. "AaronK" I fly airplanes off and on as a hobby, I use http://www.weathertap.com/ for Nexrad images and other. This has been covered in several threads in the past. You might try a
Google for background. "OtisWinslow" wrote in message ... I also am a weathertap subscriber and like it. I use it on the ground though over the Internet. Aren't there going to be legal issues with using it with a cell phone in the air? |
