The full size onefor the people shots was a modified Lazair II (non
flying)

The only real pt 103 legal ultralight twin I've ever heard of is the

Gemini
Lazair 1 and 2
Hummingbird
Prospector
and a few others...

If you're looking for a wood ultralight, try the Ison Mini-Max
http://www.isonaircraft.com/minimax.htm

The closest thing to the GMBC2 plane was a twin Genesis

There is also the original Kolb Flyer. Tube & fabric construction, two
Kohler 12 HP engines, IIRC. There's a Texan fella that flew his at Sun
N Fun for many years, can't remember his name at the moment.

I have a set of plans, and they are also available from Scott at
www.vula.org, I think.

VULA is also a good place to find info on all kinds of old
ultralights.

Del Cross owns the twin Kolb. He's in my chapter. He has redrives on it. It
has Robin Engines. I don't think he has ever had an engine failure, but I
heard one almost fell off. He now has about 1500 hours twin time in it. (on
it?) With the redrives he can take off on one engine and climb out. It is
Ultralight legal.

Cheers
Jeff

That's him alright. I bought my plans from Del out of his trailer at
SNF one year. Nice guy.

I have flown the LAZAIR.
It will stay aloft on one motor for a LONG time but not forever.
It is one smooth plane to fly.
