new cleaning product: Simple Green for aircraft
Anybody try this (rather expensive) new product (approved for
aircraft)? In particular, it's advertised as OK for aluminum, rubber and plastic (unlike mineral spirits). http://industrial.simplegreen.com/ind_prod_ext_mor.php |

If left in the faying surfaces, it WILL cause corrosion.
Try this yourself, take a small square of new shiny aluminum and leave it in Simple Green for a day or so. Anybody try this (rather expensive) new product (approved for aircraft)? Try WashWaxAll. I've tried and wasn't particularly impressed by Simple
Green. Have used WWA for quite a while. http://www.washwax.com/ wrote in message ups.com... Anybody try this (rather expensive) new product (approved for aircraft)? Just don't get it where it can't be washed off or out. it will corrode, but then again I've seen people cleaning their airplanes with Formula 7, or is it 9 over at Oshkosh. That stuff has Ammonia in it and will corrode Aluminum in a heartbeat. it does clean well, but if no flushed off thoroughly it can be expensive. We are talking about different products. The simple green for aircraft
doesn't corrode aluminium. Mike MU-2 "Roger" wrote in message ... On Fri, 11 Feb 2005 20:05:24 GMT, "Mike Rapoport" wrote: I have some but haven't tried it yet. I have a bottle of "Simple Green(TM) here and it will turn polished Aluminum white if not thoroughly rinsed. That leads me to believe it would not be a good idea to use it in areas where it could not be thoroughly flushed. Or do they make one version specifically for aircraft?
