Default Cobra Interior Carpet Glue

OK all of you Cobra owners who have the interior carpet
used to protect the parts and pieces of your glider
that always comes off, what glue are you using to reattach
the pieces?
Thanks
Brian

I use 3M brand Super Trim Adhesive. It is available at good
auto parts store, stores that cater more to repair shops than the
general public. It comes in an spray can. It will not let go in hot
weather

Yes, the 3M weather strip adhesive is much better than the original glue used
in Germany. It is available at your local Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, NAPA or Pep
Boys store. I recomend the version that comes in a tube. It is much cheaper
than the spray version and less messy. I do recoment using rubbere gloves with
either version. It comes in either black or yellow. If you apply it as per the
instruction it will last just about forever.

Brian
Take it from an old carpet guy (me).
The best glue man and money can buy nowadays is "Gorilla glue". Some
hardware stores, and most likely Home Depot will have it.
Contact cement used to be good (years ago), before the green movement. Now
it is not worth a darn.

Does the tube dispense a fine enough bead that it will dry relatively
fast

It can. Depends on how hard you squeeze the tube.

I prefer to use my gloved finger to spread the glue around. An "acid brush"
would work also.

Apply it as per the directions and it will "stick like glue" Otherwise it will
stick like snot.

This stuff is great and sticks to most everything. Nor will it attack most
foams...just be sure to test beforehand. A few caveats are in order.

Practice on a scrap before you use it on the trailer. It expands into a foam
to about 4-5 times the original volume. If you think you're using too little,
you're probably still using too much!

The glue also relies on moisture to trigger it. If in a really dry air (10%
moisture), lightly dampen one surface and apply to the other.

Home Depot and most other major hardware stores sell it for $6-7.
