Default Tu-22 break up on landing in bad weather - Olenegorsk air base Russia’s Arctic Kola Peninsula

Came across this in the Barents Oberver:

Terrifying video of Tu-22M3 crash-landing at Olenegorsk air base

https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/se...gorsk-air-base

The supersonic bomber broke in two and exploded into a fireball in
what appears to be very hard landing in bad visibility conditions.

Three crewmembers died and a fourth is hospitalized with serious
injuries after the crash mid-day on Tuesday January 22nd.

Now, a video recorded alongside the runway at the air base has leaked
out and published on and Twitter and YouTube. Numerous Russian media
republish the video over the weekend.

....(etc)...

You get a sense for the momentum of that thing, even at that speed.

Wouldn't be the first time for a Tu-22....here's a vid of one on 14-SEP-2017...

Narrative:
The military plane had a technical failure and rolled of(f) the runway during
take off. The four crew members were not injured.

The Tu-22 Military Airplane pulled one wheel off the runway, "said the army, but
the machine suffered no damage. Later it turned out that the crash was far more
serious.

The machine pulled the chassis off the runway and ended up without gear. The
left half of the wing with a variable geometry broke off. The machine is
irreparably damaged.

Speed sensor malfunction could be the reason of the aborted takeoff.
