quite simple really. how many have been produced by now? i was wondering if the
total of F-16's produced had topped 3,000.

It's over 4,000. Number 3,900 was delivered way back on March 26, 1999.

This has to be a masterpiece of modern marketing.

At least with the more than 5000 copies of the F-4
sold, people got their money's worth and a real
fighter capable of doing the job, "out of the box".
