Also does anyone know if the Zeus or LX9000 is still available in a form factor suitable for mounting on the canopy frame rail?

I think Zeus 4.3 can be mounted separately. Zeus has a good variometer,
and the final glide calculator is accurate. And I have one for sale,
opmplete
package with remote stick and Colibri logger.

I'm by no means an expert (far FAR from!), but I like my Zeus (5.5). There were a few bugs that I found and Toni at LX quickly corrected them and added new features.

The final glide calc seems to be pretty accurate, the vario is responsive and seems accurate (as far as I can tell).

There are plenty of settings to get it working and sounding as you like, the screen is gorgeous and easily readable in all conditions. Oddly, there are only two brightness settings: "Normal" and "Bright", I would have thought there'd be ranges... no big deal.

I'm still playing with the nav boxes to get the information that I think I want/need, and still looking for the box that tells me where the energy lines are located.
