Rick Lord at Erie Aviation has worked on several German radios including
Walter Dittel, he has repair manals for most types and approval to do the
repairs. His work is excellent... http://www.erieaviation.com/
I also worked to help set up Erie Avaition as a repair facility for Walter
Dittel, (they already were an approved shop for Becker avionics and formerly
were the USA Distributor for them, they are the only the warranty repair
facility for Microair Avionics in the USA, have worked on Filser and also
Xcom.

One of the owners of Peninsula Avionics (Nick) is a glider pilot. I
talked to him about changing the LCD display in my Dittel and he said
he has parts.
