This newspaper article has an interesting discussion of the role of
mountain wave in the recent Air Canada turbulence incident, including
information on some previous airline tragedies linking to wave.

Here is an interesting story on an undular bore or atmospheric bore
over Iowa in 2007. Click on the graphic to see a time-lapse sequence
of the clouds. Check out the Nexrad radar graphic. Very interesting.
