Default FA: Used Aircraft Guide

Used Aircraft Guide
Ethell, Jeffrey: USED AIRCRAFT GUIDE
New York: Scribners, 1979. First edition. Very good with very good jacket.
Rear board lightly stained. Slight dampstain to last free endpaper. Dust
jacket wrinkled from dampness. 158 pages including index and appendices.
"This is the first guide ever published to buying all the major used
aircraft. The author tells you what to look for in a used airplane, how to
go about inspecting airplanes -with a thorough step-by-step evaluation
process- and how to buy it. Resale value, structures, marketability, and
paperwork are covered. It does not attempt to point out what is "best" or
"worst," but what exists and how to find out if the effort is worth the
investment.
"There is a brief description and a list of specifications for the major
aircraft types. Particular problems -from poor engines to leaky hydraulics
are pointed out. A section on avionics gives readers a basic look at the
field when evaluating worth.
"Over 40 types of aircraft are broken down into models with a brief
description and list of specifications of each, and a black and white photo
of each model.
"Finally, the average worth of each of the aircraft is given. Although there
may be disagreement about what a certain aircraft is worth, and values
change rapidly, you will benefit by having an idea of how much you must be
prepared to spend."
starting bid = $9.50
