Actually, running that many people rapidly down slides (particularly upper deck slides) with only one serious injury is pretty impressive -- more than a little lucky, but impressive nonetheless. |

An emergency evac, real or drill, is a dangerous procedure, and usually results in more than a few injuries, some serious. In the real world, ordering an emergency evacuation of a large airplane is a decision taken very carefully. The question is which course of action will result in fewer injuries. When you get to the point where an evac is one of your top alternatives, some people are going to get hurt, either way. |
