Default Wanted: Grob 103 elevator

Oooops.......severe hangar rash has resulted in a crushed elevator on our Grob 103 Twin III. A repair is being considered, but it will be both costly and lengthy. Anyone know of an elevator that might be for sale? .....even a minimally-damaged one?

Thanks,
Michael

Would a Grob Astir 102 elevator be compatible? I have one in great condition.

Sorry, Not even close, the Twin has a much larger stab than the 102.

Duster, SLSA (in St Louis) has a complete undamaged horizontal stab and elevator from a G-103 Twin II, sn 3603. It has the elevator trim tab on the right elevator. Not sure if it would work in a Twin III.

Kirk,
One of us looked into the interchangeability between our Grob 103 Twin III and the Twin II, and apparently the elevators are not completely compatible. Thus, the club has chosen to go for a repair. Thanks for the reply, nevertheless.

Michael

I suspected that would be the case. Good luck with your repairs!

Cheers,

Kirk
