Default Help needed for Transport to Maine

I'm with the United Yorkshire Terrier Rescue group and have a foster
Yorkie that needs to get from Louisville, KY to Bangor, Maine. He is a 7
year old "special needs" yorkie that gets insulin shots. He has a new home
in Maine that can provide him the medical care he needs on a daily basis.

We're trying to find an airline that will allow him to travel one time
one way in the cabin. Does anyone here know of any airlines that would do
this?

Please contact me at if you know of any airlines that
would help us get this little guy to his new home.

Thanks,
Carolyn Adkins

Carolyn, most airlines will allow pets to be transported in the cabin
with the passengers. The trick is that the animal must be in a
container, and the container must fit under the seat. I know Yorkies
aren't exactly small, but if you are careful to select a flight that
uses an older plane (like a Boeing 737), you can get a pretty big
container under the seat in front of you. Hope this helps.
