You're right. I don't care what the FCC says in this case. I have used
my phone in the plane for as long as I've had a plane, all over the
western part of the country. Few people don't.


Note that there is a difference between using your (cell) phone in
your airplane and using one in an MD-80, as in the case cited in
Congressional testimony. Also there is a difference between the FCC
and the FAA. See the current Air&Space/Smithsonian: "Shut Off That
Phone!" page 56.

Does anyone have a comment on that article? I was astonished to find
that my Sony CD player can be a problem under some circumstances.
