No, I hadn't. They had one in stock. $195. Hell of a deal. Thanks for
the help all of you folks.

BTW, Aerospace was the most professional of any of the sites I went to.
They have the exhaust world nailed.

Glad we could be of assistance. Sounds like this outfit might be a good
resource.

Give us a pirep after you get a few hours on the actual part.

AWI consumed Aircraft Exhaust who made up the replacement carb heat
shrouds on my Cherokee a few years back. Nobody else would touch them.
They made up "overhauled" ones for $150 each for the top and bottom.
Great deal because the Piper versions were like $600 each (yikes!).

My IA and I noticed a slipping exhaust pipe and it turns out the clamp
was missing the locating pin. This has happened before and Dawley
"overhauled" the clamp (welded on a new pin) for $30. They now say they
don't perform that operation. Piper price for a new clamp was $95
(ouch!). Also, the sealing strip for my shroud was disintegrating from
rust. Piper price was $197. AWI sold me the PMA'd clamp for $20 and a
new strip for $35.

Keep these guys on you "list".

Good Luck,
Mike
