I'm looking for HIGH QUALITY video clips of the P-38 Glacier Girl and the Texas Me 262 to be shown in the local aviation guild's meeting. Anything on the web, somewhere, anyone? Please? jukka, one thing - please, I implore you, do not call them "Texas 262s" - Tischler and Co never owned them and Snyder's team, Classic Fighters or CFII, owe the Texas connection little. It took a legal order from a Judge to get Tishler to release Snyder's property back to him, and what arrived in Seattle is literally not safe for flight - practically everything done in Texas had to be redone before anything close to a flight-ready machine could be built. Most of the original Texas components are still in the CFII hangar, available to show interested visitors how NOT to build a replica jet fighter. All that said, you should visit Stormbirds.com - it has all the most up to date info on the project. v/r Gordon (one of several staff historians) Stormbirds.com/recon |
