That's the only fighter-glider I've ever heard of. It would be towed to
altitude above bomber formations by a Bf-109 and then released to fire two
30mm cannons while diving. While several prototypes were built, it never
went into production and crews regarded it as something of a suicide
weapon...

Many of their aircraft were named after British and Commonwealth cities
and towns, hence Blackburn, Beverley, Ripon, Airedale, Sydney, Perth...
