BTW - This hoax is not even that original. Anyone remember the
National Lampoon cover from the '70s? It had a picture of a cute dog
with a revolver pointed at its head. Caption : Buy this magazine, or
we'll shoot this dog.

Yeah,

I remember that one.

Also, Saturday Night Live once had Eddie Murphy threatening to boil "Larry
the Lobster" if people didn't call in to save him.

"Call now or we'll boil his little butt..."

I liked the cover with the cheerleaders twirling their skirts :-)
Couldn't find it on the web :-(

Hey, I was 13!

Our son wrote to us last night.......

"Can you just BELIEVE the total IDIOTS who sent their hard earned money into
this absolutely STUPID and RIDICLOUS scheme?"

I wrote back,

"All RIGHT already..........we'll cancel the check!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I enjoyed Blazing Saddles' approach to this (when the sheriff first faced
the town, lest you've forgotten) which (as far as I recall) was done in the
mid 70s.

No, I wouldn't necessarily believe it. The original site had a hoax
disclaimer that has been removed. Check out :

Already know about this. Word is it's still out for grabs on this. Could be
a hoax but no one seems absolutely certain as yet.
It's probably a couple of college kids playing games. If so, it's a good
stunt. PETA is going NUTS!!! :-)

Does PETA stand for "People for Eating Tasty Animals"?

There's plenty of room for all of God's creatures. Right next to the

I don't recall any of the covers, but I'd *love* to get a copy of the fake
Volkswagen ad.

Dang...if he actually has that much in paypal, I've gotta come up with a

How can you call it a scam if he gets the money and releases the
rabbit? Now if he has rabbit stew after getting all the money, that's
a scam. This way it's just extortion of the gullible.
