Default Getting Back to FS - CH analog drivers made all the difference

Do you have the CH Yoke and pedals? If so have you tried CH analog drivers

Wow!!! Did that ever make a difference!!!

I haven't been flying much lately due to continued problems calibrating my CH
Flight Stick Pro and Pro Pedals. I just got sick of calibrating, tweaking,
re-calibrating every time I wanted to fly -- if I had used my racing wheel, I
had to start over with the joystick.

I don't know why I never heard of the CH drivers but it's like a whole new sim
now. Is it ever easy to fly...

Thanks a lot man...

Hi Dalli,

I'm off hunting these analog drivers. It must be karma..... With my CH
Yoke all of a sudden my helicopters are jerking side to side, not
gaining airspeed well, just no control. I plugged in the Side Winder
and everything is OK. I was going to ask you what I might look at to get
the CH Yoke back in shape. I have your details about taking the Yoke
apart but I would really not like to do that if at all possible.

OK, I'm off to the CH web site for drivers.

Yep, the CH 8 Drivers can really make a difference! I'm thinking Bob Church
wrote them or was a major contributor to them... I recognize some of his
work in them.

I downloaded them but see they are for gameport yokes. So now I have to
figure out the best way to clean and re-set my USB Yoke.

That's weird... when you get the CH drivers installed, set all your
sensitiviy sliders in FS9 to full right then go calibrate using the CH
calibration.

The calibration screen has a very nice map grid where you can watch what
each axis does as you move it. Look for jumps or skips in movement as you
move the yoke around and tell me if you see any.

Yup, gameport.

I was just trying to diagnose if your problem was dirty pots or not.

Dirty pots will cause skips and jumps in movement. I wonder where you could
download a USB " joystick analyzer"... that's a map grid where you can
watch your control movements in real time to see if you have any dead spots
or spikes.
