VFR FLIGHT PROCEDURES AND REGULATIONS
General
The ATZ Lelystad is active within UDP, during AD operational hours.
For the lateral and vertical limits of the ATZ Lelystad see AD
2.EHLE-VAC.
In the ATZ Lelystad is only aerodrome traffic allowed.
Aircraft, helicopters and MLAs use separated circuits (see AD
2.EHLE-VAC) to establish horizontal and vertical separation.
Circuit flights shall be carried out within the lateral limits of the
circuit area.
Flights to or from Lelystad shall be co-ordinated with the aerodrome
authorities.
The aerodrome authorities can decide that circuit flights are not
allowed.
Flights in the ATZ Lelystad shall maintain two-way radio contact with
Lelystad Radio. This obligation applies also to pilots without a RTF
licence.
Contact Lelystad Radio before entering the ATZ Lelystad or before
departing Lelystad aerodrome and state your intentions. Lelystad Radio
responds with aerodrome information. Lelystad Radio does not issue
clearances but is strictly informative.
Report 'final full stop' or 'final touch and go'. If ground
visibility, as determined by the aerodrome authority, is = 3 km also
report 'downwind' and 'turning final'.
Report switching off the radio or leaving the ATZ Lelystad.
A straight-in approach is possible for aircraft unable to follow the
standard circuit for performance reasons. A straight-in is only
allowed after coordination with the Lelystad Radio. Report therefore a
straight-in well in advance to Lelystad Radio. When established on
final report also 'final straight in, two minutes out'.
Helicopters shall use the helicopter aiming point (HAP) SE of the RWY
05/23.
Banners are picked-up and thrown-off west of, and parallel to, RWY
05/23.
Avoid marked areas.
Avoid built-up areas and other houses as much as possible.

Powered aircraft
The circuit altitude is 700 ft AAL.
BRAVO is a compulsory reporting point; SIERRA is non-compulsory
reporting point.
Contact Lelystad Radio two minutes before BRAVO at 700 ft and report
altitude, bearing and distance (position) relative to BRAVO. This is
not applicable to straight-in approaches (see paragraph 3.1 item 11).
Report 'overhead BRAVO' at 700 ft AAL.
Join the circuit in accordance with the standard circuit procedures
(see ENR 1.2 paragraph 8). A straight-in is under conditions possible
(see paragraph 3.1 item 11). Leave the circuit by one of the exits
indicated on AD 2.EHLE-VAC.
Use, traffic permitting, the orange markers as turning points for
downwind/base and base/final RWY 23.
Microlight aircraft (MLA)
The circuit altitude is 300 ft (90 m) AAL.
VICTOR is a compulsory reporting point.
Contact Lelystad Radio on 123.825 MHz for AD information.
Join the MLA circuit in accordance with the standard circuit
procedures (see ENR 1.2 paragraph 8).
EHLE AD 2.23 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1 CAUTIONS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
VFR flights are not allowed in the Schiphol TMA, except for the VFR
area Lelystad (see ENR 1.2 paragraph 3.2.3) if flight visibility = 5
km and the aircraft can stay clear of clouds.
For flights that will continue IFR after a VFR departure, Lelystad
Radio shall issue a transponder code, regional QNH and the Schiphol
APP FREQ for flights via the Schiphol TMA or the Dutch MIL FREQ for
flights via the Nieuw Milligen TMA. The IFR clearance will be provided
after radio contact with Schiphol APP or Dutch MIL. Radio contact with
Dutch MIL, to obtain an IFR clearance, shall only be established after
passing the Nieuw Milligen TMA B boundary.
Helicopter training flights may take place between the runway and the
buildings east of the taxiway.
Helicopter can execute simulated precautionary landings, emergency
landings and other procedures on the grass areas I, II, III or IV (see
AD 2.EHLE-ADC).
Tail draggers with a tailskid land (incidentally and on request) west
of, and parallel to, RWY 05/23.
Glider site Biddinghuizen is situated 3.3 NM NE of BRAVO. At the
glider site glider activities with winches may take place.
