From the picture, I couldn't tell if they were sailplanes or not... Looked more
like gliders to me.

This is indeed AN2 and the gliders are SZD30 Pirat and one of them is
a Cobra..all of that stuff was made in Poland...

That is quite a feat... launching 9 sailplanes at once.... wow.
