I've never seen the movie so I can't answer your question. What I
have seen is this question come up time and time again so a search of
the archives is probably in order.

Perhaps Ron should consider adding it to the FAQ?

The plane is a two place Lazair. It was originally manufactured by a
company in Ontario, CANADA. In Canada it qualifies as an ultralight.
Although they are no longer in production a dedicated bunch of
people love their Lazairs and have a fly in each year. For more info
