Default crash alerts

Many good ideas on how to survive and get rescued.
The the hand hel transceiver as back up seems like a good one.
You can

call on 121.5 and hope a commercial flight hears you

call on the soaring freqs.

call on the local enroute and tower freqs

but carry a GPS so you can tell them EXACTLY wher you are.
