Default Wounded Marines Need Help

This was posted on another service by a friend, so I am satisfied it's
the "real deal.: It's not NAVAIR, but worthy nonetheless.

Greetings All,

In case anyone is interested in supporting this effort the following
information is submitted for your consideration and action. The area
code for Edwards Air Force Base is 661 and if you see a number listed
as 7- xxxx it means 277-xxxx. CMSgt is an Air force Chief Master
Sergeant, the hight enlisted rank in the Air Force. This is the real
deal.

Subject: FW: WOUNDED MARINES IN NEED OF...

All Concerned,

Our US Marine brethren at Edwards have requested our assistance in
procuring need items for Marines wounded in Fighting in Falluja, Iraq.
Marines at Camp Pendleton have paid a high price during the fighting
in Falluja. They lost 16 KIA and over 600+ wounded which are
hospitalized at Pendleton and Balboa hospitals. Most are bed stricken
and cannot make it to dayrooms to watch TV or play video games. The
wounded have received many DVDs; however, they do not have the DVD
player to watch them.

Because of the severity of their injuries, anything to occupy their
day and keep their mind off their injuries is a definite plus. They
are in desperate need of portable/personal DVD players and hand-held
Gameboys. Electric razors are also needed because they cannot walk to
the bathroom to shave.

I am the POC for the Chiefs' Group and we are working with the Marine
Corps to try and purchase needed items for these brave and dedicated
Marines.

I am requesting any financial support you can provide to assist in
purchasing some of the needed items for donation to the wounded
Marines. If your organization would like to donate to this worthy
cause, please contact me or two of my fellow Chiefs at the below
numbers:

CMSgt James Palmer at 277-7969 or 810-8050
CMSgt Lynn Cox at 275-2674 or 661-349-5198
CMSgt Michael Hanshaw at 275-6854 or 810 8599

We would like to have all donations in NLT 15 Dec 04 in order to make
the necessary purchases. Our goal is to have the items to the Marines
before Christmas.

Your support of the worth while cause in tremendously appreciate by
the
Chief Group as well and the US Marine Corps.

Thanks,

CMSgt James Palmer
