British pilots and their passengers saw a very large UFO near the Isle
of Man a few days ago. Interestingly, it was even picked up on Jersey
radar.

The pilot estimates the UFO to be nearly one mile in size.

Did any of your Brits see anything odd in the skies recently?

:-)

One mile huh!!! You know, that's amazing!! I've heard nothing exciting ever
happens on the Isle of Mann. Even the cats there spend their whole lives
running around the place looking for a little piece of tail....and they
never seem to find it.

I've got an "Isle of Man" cat at our house... we always tell people
that the tail was cutoff in a door that was slammed on it. Its fun to
watch their response.

Wouldn't that make it a BFUFO?

Quite!

If it was that big and they couldn't make it out...

"Um...let's see! It's either a pancake, or, no maybe..."

I hear they are great cats. Guy down the street has one; he says it sleeps
wrapped around his head like a hat with earmuffs.
I told him this would never do at our house. I'm so used to hearing engine
noises from years of flying that if for some reason during the night, the
cat stopped purring, I'd probably immediately think I had lost an engine and
have a damn heart attack!!

They are great cats. Ours sleeps next to me sometimes, but mostly
with my daughter. They talk to you when they want something (like
going outside), and are very people oriented. Their nickname is "dog
cat" because they don't behave like regular housecats, more like a
dog.

That must have been what I saw.

aviation related content I flew myself down south to visit a friend
of a friend some years ago and /aviation related content he had two
cats - one of which knew it was a cat, the other of which must have
been a dog in cat's clothing. The owner spoke to it and it obeyed, just
like a dog. I'd never seen anything like it before, or since.

Our cat (not a manx....a Russian Blue) used to "talk" to us as well.
Whenever one of us would come into the room where the cat was, if you made
eye contact with him he'd always and without fail give you one single loud
"meow". That was it..one meow. That was "hello", "glad to see you" "make
sure the bowl is full" and "don't let the door hit you in the butt on the
way out".
Lord how we miss that fur critter. We had him for fifteen years....or he had
us. I've never actually figured out which :-)

I think I can explain this.
This was probably the decoy cat for that year. Cats get together each year
and designate 1 cat to be what is known as the "designated decoy" cat. This
cat is specially trained by the other cats and surreptitiously inserted in a
randomly picked home with humans for the sole purpose of making humans
believe that cats can be trained as house pets.
It is assumed by the cats that the human picked will be totally fooled into
thinking that cats can be trained and spread the word, resulting in millions
of cats being allowed into other homes where they are fed, cared for, and
pampered by humans who have absolutely no idea that the cats are laughing
their asses off at the human's stupidity.
Hope this short synopsis helps a bit.
