Default LS8 tank vents

My LS8 has 'root rib vents': can I put a wing on the
ground after filling tanks without having water drip
from the vent tubes?
Manual states this is prohibited on LS8s fitted with
'winglet vents', but says nothing about my case.
Thanks in advance,
cheers
Flavio

No. The vent tube will fill with water and (some of) that will run out
when you level the wings again. It will run in to the fuselage and out
the bottom of it if the wing gap is nicely sealed. Not a real problem
but I'd avoid it anyway.

Because all the water would run in to the wing if the winglet gap is
well sealed. At least the metal parts near the end of the wing would be
in water. Not good.

Marcel
