iPhone 5 vs iPhone 6 sunlight readability

Just curious how these two iPhones stack up against each other and or the Oudie2 or Del Streak5 in sunlight readability?

The iPhone 5 and 6 are near the same brightness, a little brighter for the 6. The 6 also has a little better anti-reflective coating. Del Streak is a different animal, having a transflective screen. I have an Avier which I think is the same display as an Oudie2 (the products look like identical hardware). On paper, the Avier/Oudie is 800 or 1000 nits, while an iPhone 6 is only 580 or so. But side-by-side, they look pretty similar in readability, except for when looking into the sun: Your iris closes and the apparent brightness of all of them diminishes, the iPhone suffering more than the Oudie.. A shade does not help, it is not a reflectance problem. With the sun behind you, they are similar. The iPhone screen has so much more resolution and crispness, it makes up for a lot. I have run an iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 Plus/iGlide against an Avier/XCSoar/Winpilot/SYM side by side in the cockpit for a number of flights. With bright sun behind me, I need to remove my sunglasses to see the iPhone clearly, while I can still just make out the Avier..

I find the 6 Plus more readable than the 5s, even though the screen brightness is the same there is a whole lot more screen and therefore a whole lot more light coming out. The 6 is a little bigger than the 5, the 6 Plus is a lot bigger.

Thank you for the response. Interestingly I 'been running an Avier/WinPilot combination for the fourth season now as well. If it wasn't for the outdated airspace data I would just keep on going. (I did come up with a fix but not a very good one through). Thinking about alternates for the next season at this point.
Experimented with XcSoar, SeeYou Mobil, looking for something better, as with all it's faults WinPilot still wins out at least for me.
