@newsfe07.phx: NAWC-23 ? http://home.wxs.nl/~p3orion/sneaky.html Yeah, Maybe so. Thanks Jim Morris What got me thinking development unit was the number of fasteners on the pod. from what I have seen, operational pods are usally smooth and sealed with streamlining. less likly to leak or cause turbulence. testing or developing units will need access to the inside of the pod on a regular basis, thus the many fasteners (screws or duez fasteners) |

In article , mumbled While walking through airliners.net today, I came across this P-3. Even with all my "vast knowledge" I don't know what the thing in the center of the belly is for. Dave? Gordon? Rotorhead? Alf? Mitchell? Anyone? I save the entire comment on the plane in the file name. Google didn't give me much on "SLAR". That would be the Alien technology based particle beam ASW weapon.... ;') -- Usenetsaurus n. an early pedantic internet mammal, who survived on a diet of static text and cascading "threads." Try Side Looking Airborne Radar and Small Aperture Radar. Used to be all kinds of TS now its on Google. Dang it's tough to get old. Cheers, Dave |
