Looks alot like a P-3 "Orion". Same engines as C-130, but rotated 180
degrees. HF On Sun, 11 May 2008 16:23:00 -0500, "jim morris" wrote: "Glenn" wrote in message ... The Herc will be around long after I'm in the ground. Saw my 1st at VR-7 and 8 NAS Moffett Field 1964. Flew in a P-5 and an SP-2H and a P-3A the same year. Was just a kid then. Jim Morris |

Was just a kid then. I saw this Herc in 1980 and again in 2002. In 1963 this aircraft was the first and only Herc to land on an aircraft carrier. http://www.kc130.com/149798.htm http://www.theaviationzone.com/facts..._forrestal.asp '798 has finally retired to the National Museum of Naval Aviation.
