Gene
Details please...
- what camera

Canon HD10
- mountings for various shots

Standard Tripod
- what is PD7?

PowerDirector 7.0
- computer used for editing

Everyday Windows Machine Intel 3.0G processor, 2 Gig memory, blah, blah,
blah. Editing can be tough because it tends to stutter and get delays.
Very frustrating.

You might want to look for better video editing software - I get no
stutter editing mine on a 1.3 GHz laptop with only 512MB of RAM.

I'd have to agree.... I live and breath Windows Movie Maker since:

A. it's free
B. it's a drag and drop operation from movies to pics to transiitions.

Now, something to consider (off topic) is that if your computer
freezes constantly creating the video, a very easy setting is in
order.

Right click My Computer
Click Properties
Click Advance
Click Settings under Performance
Click Advanced
Change process scheduling to Background Services,
Click OK and click OK once more.

Reboot if prompted.

Once you do this, you will no longer get freeze ups. Kobra, you
still may want to try this with your current video editing program
since this applies to graphic intensive type programs including CAD
type programs. This tidbit may be the magic bullet for your
"stuttering" issues.

Hello fellow flyers,

My apologies in advance if this is boring. This is my very first attempt at
making a video of any kind. Give it a look and all comments are welcome.

BTW, I already know I didn't hold the centerline on lift-off (embarrassed
look). ALieb noticed that right away. I had a slight distraction with the
camera.

Nice production and love the credits. Two questions. Do you normally
leave your hangar door open when you leave the airport? That's what it
looked like. And, while taxing I didn't see ground leaning. It may just
have been how you put the clips together. I grew up with a father that
love to take 8mm movies. But he would have pile in the car and depart
while my sister and I would be hanging out the window waiving. Then we
would have to go back and pick him up. But, in the end, when he spliced
this all together, it was a nice movie. Ahh, now we have digital cameras
and software to do all of this.

Yes, I do...everyone does. Small town airport...we all know each other.

As you said...it's the way the clips were put together.

pile in the car and depart while my sister and I would be hanging out the
window waiving. Then we would have to go back and pick him up.

That's how this was put together. Scenes were shot in hodge-podge order and
spliced to give a normal flow.

Nice video,,, nice weather for flying,,, At least you are consistent
with staying on the left side of the runway during takeoffs and
landings, G How did ya mount the camera ? My first and only video
was done using the original take, then adding narration to fill in the
details. In hindsite I should have edited it to make it look
polished... Once again... Nice job

Ben,

Nice video as well...to answer your question...the camera was mounted on a
tripod inside the plane lowered as low as possible, sitting on the passenger
seat and seatbelted down. I raised the camera until it was wedged between
the tripod and the ceiling. I also used a wide-angle lens for some shots.

Kobra
BTW...has anyone figured out by watching the video why I use the name Kobra?

I didn't recognize anyone in the credits. Hold off public first run at
the theaters until you get star quality there
