Hunters were particularly prone to self-harm until fitted with large blisters
to collect the detritus of gun firing. These were known as 'Sabrinas' and
are shown clearly in the attached photo of a Mk 6.

And this is the original Sabrina (a 1950s pin-up) displaying her large
blisters.

Windsocks, I am told, were referred to by RAF personnel in the 50s as
'Sabrina's Stocking'. Oh, the cads.
