No, but I know they did hire a mill to reproduce the muslin with the exact
weight and thread count, find someone who would hand make an exact replica
of the propeller, find someone to make an exact replica of the engine,
make all of the fitting by hand and nickle plate them ...... The list
goes on. I've been to Ken Hyde's workshop/hangar and it's amazing.

If there were restrictions on flight, surely there would be no point in
going to KDH

I heard there *will* be restrictions. Waivers are in the works for selected
flyover aircraft.
Check ye olde NOTAMs if you're going to be in that area...

Will the Wright Flyer have a waiver?

Hrmmm.

Wonder if the wonder-pilots have had their background checks.

I wonder do they have to get a checkride on the flyer. Maybe they could
get that "94 year old CFI" from a couple of threads up to do it.

Margy,

did hire a mill

three mills, actually. One for the thread, one for the weaving, forgot
about the third.

Jeff,

Will the Wright Flyer have a waiver?

It has an FAA waiver and doesn't need certification or anything.

Actually, it has twice had an airworthiness certificate. Ken Hyde got one
early this year. This one was recalled so that Blakely and Poberenzy could
make a big show of the issuance of a certificate at Oshkosh last summer.
